We are going on a Florida Keys Honeymoon, and here is our Honeymoon in Florida Keys story.

I got married on the 14th of march this year (2011) and as I have my kids most of the time (I have the custody of my three kids from a previous marriage), we were not able to go on a honeymoon in Florida Keys - at least not yet, because when Kjell and I agreed on going to Florida Keys in easter 2012, I invited my wife on a Florida Keys honeymoon.

This means we will not only be going to the Florida Keys on vacation, we will go on our honeymoon in Florida Keys.

I know it might be strange that we will first be going more than a year after we have gotten married, but better late than never, right. And as it is the first time where I am without my kids for a longer period of time and we have nothing else planned, as in christmas we are going to visit my parents and siblings in Denmark, our honeymoon will be in the Easter of 2012.

So how would I like our honeymoon to be? What would I like to do on it?

Well one thing that I always relate to a honey moon is "romantic", it is all about romance. Now what is a romantic honeymoon. When I close my eyes and think of it, this is what comes to mind.

I want to be living by the beach, where me and my wife, we can sit on the porch in the evening and see the sun going down. We can take a walk on the beach hand in hand, when we lie in the bed at the evening, just looking at each other, we will be able to hear the sound of the waves on the beach. When we wake up in the morning we can see the sun set in the horizon, while having breakfast together at the porch.

I am not much for "just relaxing", I also need some action - I need to be doing something and not just sit around, so what are there to do on a Florida Keys honeymoon?

Now one thing that I am dreaming of doing (it might not be that related with a romantic honeymoon) is swimming with dolphins. I love swimming and I normally swim three times a week to keep in shape, so this is one of the reasons that I am dreaming about it, another and more important is that for me and my wife, it would make it really special, and for me that is what is important, that it will be special, something to always remember.
